Service Description

The main aim of the VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma in Massage is to enable learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide massage treatments to the general public and to gain employment in the massage industry. This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 and over and is designed to provide occupational competence at level 3. It also provides a sound platform into further training at level 3 and 4. Content This qualification is for learners who want to work within the massage industry. The qualification consists of 4 mandatory units with a total of 296 hours of Guided Learning (GL) to achieve the full qualification and 1 additional optional elective unit. The main skills the learner will perform are: • Consultation techniques – to include understanding the needs of clients and when and when not to treat them, identifying general body types and skin types, different types of fat and common postural faults, contra-indications, explaining possible contra-actions and providing aftercare and home care • Health, safety and hygiene – contextualised to the environment in which the learner is working • Body massage techniques – to include selecting a suitable massage medium for the client’s skin type, classical massage movements and adapting the treatment to the client’s specific needs The learner will also develop knowledge about current legislation and working practice requirements and client care and communication which is essential to work and be successful in the industry. To be awarded this qualification, students must successfully achieve the following assessments: • External practical examination • External theory examination • Portfolio of evidence containing - Treatment evidence - Case studies - Assignment Course Fees £1350 Additional fees: exam fee £160 (in addition to course fees) On registration as a student during the course, e deposit of £350 is required and the exam fee of £160.00 is required at least 10 days before the course. Course fees may be paid in full or the balance (£1,000) may be spread over two monthly installments of £525 (this includes a 5% admin fee) (this does not include the £160 exam fee) Pre-requisites: none - course is suitable for beginners.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations within the 14 day cooling-off period If you cancel the course booking within 14 calendar days of receiving your order confirmation (the day of booking is day 1) you are entitled to a full refund of the price paid without giving any reason. Cancellations outside of the 14 day cooling-off period After the 14-day cooling-off period has expired, the following course cancellation policy shall apply: Cancellations made after the 14-day cancellation period and more than 21 days before the course will be subject to an administration fee of £50. Alternatively, to avoid incurring the admin fee, the student can choose to transfer onto another course. Course is less than 21 days away Cancellations 21 days prior to the course start date will result in 50% of the course cost being forfeited. A transfer only will be offered if the student's place has been filled by another paying student however the student is still liable to pay a £50 admin fee. Course is less than 14 days away Cancellations 14 days prior to the course start date will result in the full course cost being forfeited and a transfer is not offered. Please note we cannot accept responsibility for students’ changes to work commitments, illness or personal circumstances within this period. Course Postponed due to unforeseen circumstances We require a minimum 2 students to run a course. On rare occasions, due to last minute cancellations or insufficient numbers, we may have to re-arrange your course date. Please note we cannot accept responsibility for students’ changes to childcare, work commitments, travel and accommodation arrangements and fees etc when the course is postponed. On this occasion, where possible, we will offer you a transfer to either an in person or online class (if applicable). Cancellation and refund policy for online courses By booking for an Online Course and making a payment of full or installment fee, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions: Under this refund policy and under guidance of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your booking at any time at the following terms: 1. If you cancel the course booking within 14 calendar days of registering your confirmation and before the start of the course without giving any reason, you are entitled to a full refund of the fee paid. 2. Cancellations and refunds in circumstances outside those described above, are not eligible for refunds.
