This hands-on course blends theory with plenty of practical, supervised practice time. You'll work in small groups to build confidence handling stones safely and effectively, and you'll leave qualified to offer Hot Stone Massage as a new treatment in your practice or salon. What You'll Learn 💡The history, benefits, and contraindications of hot stone therapy 💡Stone selection, care, and heating equipment (heaters, thermometers, hygiene protocols) 💡Safe handling and temperature testing to protect both client and therapist 💡Stone placement techniques for the back, legs, arms, hands, and feet 💡Massage techniques using stones as an extension of the hands 💡Integrating stone work into a full-body treatment sequence 💡Client consultation, aftercare advice, and contraindication screening 💡Health and safety considerations specific to heat-based treatments Pre-requisite Level 3 Diploma in Body Massage (with Anatomy & Physiology), or an equivalent recognised qualification. Proof of qualification will be required. On Completion Students will receive a Practitioner Certificate in Hot Stone Massage, enabling them to offer this treatment professionally and obtain insurance to practice. This course is accredited by ABT.
