Service Description

Masterclass Overview The knee is a highly stressed joint that plays a central role in movement, stability, and load transfer through the body. Due to its position between the hip and ankle, knee pain is often influenced by muscular imbalances, fascial restrictions, and biomechanical compensation rather than the knee alone. This Advanced Knee Release Masterclass is designed for qualified therapists who want to confidently assess and treat common knee dysfunctions using safe, effective, and clinically informed massage techniques. The focus is on understanding contributing factors, reducing restriction, and supporting functional movement not just working on the site of pain. Course Aims The aim of this masterclass is to enable therapists to: - Develop a deeper understanding of knee mechanics and dysfunction - Identify contributing factors affecting knee pain and restriction - Apply advanced massage and soft tissue techniques safely - Improve comfort, mobility, and functional outcomes for clients What You’ll Learn This masterclass will cover: 🧠 Knee Anatomy & Biomechanics 🔍 Common Knee Dysfunctions - Patellofemoral pain patterns - Ligament strains and sprains (within massage scope) - Tendon overload and repetitive strain presentations - Postural and movement-related knee discomfort - Compensation from hip, ankle, and foot mechanics 👐 Advanced Massage & Release Techniques - Deep tissue and neuromuscular techniques for surrounding structures - Myofascial release for thigh, calf, and knee region - Passive and assisted stretching N.B - Participants will receive an electronic CPD certificate of attendance the equivalent of 6 CPD hrs.
