Service Description
Expand your massage skills with our 2 day Sports Massage Diploma, designed for qualified therapists who want to offer more focused treatments for muscular tension and the demands of an active lifestyle. Building on your existing body massage training, this practical course explores techniques used in sports massage and how to adapt them to each client’s needs. You will learn to work with appropriate depth, pressure and pace, creating purposeful treatments for recreational exercisers, sports enthusiasts and clients with everyday muscular tension. What you will learn The principles of sports massage and its role within a massage practice. Client consultation, postural analysis, contraindications and treatment planning. Targeted massage techniques, including MET and STR. Adapting treatments around physical activity, including considerations before and after exercise. Combining focused work on specific areas with a flowing massage treatment. Effective body mechanics to protect your own comfort while working. Aftercare, professional boundaries and recognising when to refer a client. Through tutor demonstrations and guided practical work, you will develop your confidence in selecting and applying techniques, adjusting your approach in response to client feedback. Entry requirements This course is open to therapists who hold a Level 3 Body Massage and Anatomy qualification. Accreditation: ABT

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations within the 14 day cooling-off period If you cancel the course booking within 14 calendar days of receiving your order confirmation (the day of booking is day 1) you are entitled to a full refund of the price paid without giving any reason. Cancellations outside of the 14 day cooling-off period After the 14-day cooling-off period has expired, the following course cancellation policy shall apply: Cancellations made after the 14-day cancellation period and more than 21 days before the course will be subject to an administration fee of £50. Alternatively, to avoid incurring the admin fee, the student can choose to transfer onto another course. Course is less than 21 days away Cancellations 21 days prior to the course start date will result in 50% of the course cost being forfeited. A transfer only will be offered if the student's place has been filled by another paying student however the student is still liable to pay a £50 admin fee. Course is less than 14 days away Cancellations 14 days prior to the course start date will result in the full course cost being forfeited and a transfer is not offered. Please note we cannot accept responsibility for students’ changes to work commitments, illness or personal circumstances within this period. Course Postponed due to unforeseen circumstances We require a minimum 2 students to run a course. On rare occasions, due to last minute cancellations or insufficient numbers, we may have to re-arrange your course date. Please note we cannot accept responsibility for students’ changes to childcare, work commitments, travel and accommodation arrangements and fees etc when the course is postponed. On this occasion, where possible, we will offer you a transfer to either an in person or online class (if applicable). Cancellation and refund policy for online courses By booking for an Online Course and making a payment of full or installment fee, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions: Under this refund policy and under guidance of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your booking at any time at the following terms: 1. If you cancel the course booking within 14 calendar days of registering your confirmation and before the start of the course without giving any reason, you are entitled to a full refund of the fee paid. 2. Cancellations and refunds in circumstances outside those described above, are not eligible for refunds.
