Service Description

Thai Yoga Massage is a time-honored healing practice that dates back to the third century BC and has been handed down from teacher to pupil through generations. This ancient art works on the principle of energy flow in the body, with specific attention given to the Ten Sen energy lines that carry vital life force. Any blockages present in these lines can cause discomfort, pain, and disease. During the Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner training course, therapists learn a combination of hands, feet and elbows techniques to apply pressure to key points along the energy lines, facilitating the release of blocked energy and restoring balance and harmony to client's body. Therapists also learn Hatha Yoga postures and gentle stretching to increase flexibility and awareness of the body. Rooted in Indian tradition and closely tied to Buddhism, TYM is approached from a meditative perspective, with the therapist focusing on creating a peaceful, nurturing environment for the client. In addition to providing a soothing, relaxing experience, TYM offers many therapeutic benefits. The practice is effective in treating a range of ailments, such as headaches, knee pain, back and shoulder pain, premenstrual tension, and more. By loosening tension in the body, improving flexibility, and increasing the flow of energy, TYM can have a profound impact on physical and emotional well-being. Overall, Thai Yoga Massage provides a holistic approach to improving client's health and well-being and can be a valuable addition to any therapist's wellness routine. The course is structured over 3 practical days and a final assessment video submission. Certification is not given upon completion of the 3 days because you are required to complete 9 case studies to qualify (plus Anatomy and Physiology course if applicable). The case studies must be completed within 6 months of finishing the classroom practice sessions. Failure to do so will result in not receiving the final certificate. In such an event you will be required to retake the entire course and pay the associated fee again to receive certification. Pre-requisites: The course is suitable for beginners however knowledge of the Anatomy and Physiology is recommended. If you are not already qualified in A&P Level 3 we will offer this course complimentary. This is an online course, self-paced. The Course is recognised and accredited by ABT.
